Welcome to the Streets of Bangkok
Bangkok | Thailand
Wow. My first taste of SE Asia has hit me like a ton of bricks. I don't quite know where to look first or what to absorb.
All I know is that life is vibrant here. It moves at such a fast pace and I'm still trying to catch up.
Bangkok has completely exceeded my expectations. Prior to arriving in Thailand, research had given me the impression that staying more than just a few days in Bangkok was unnecessary. Now, going on one week of being in the city I can confidently say that there is so much to see and experience, if only you give it a chance.
This city is a photographers paradise. Walking through the streets is an overwhelming experience as I try to absorb my surroundings and shoot what I can, knowing I'll have to accept the fact I that I won't be able to capture it all.
Street photography is new to me. I've been wanting to dive into the art for a while now, especially since I've started traveling full-time, but I've always shied away from it. It's an incredibly vulnerable experience to point a camera in the direction of another human being and have them look back at me through my view finder, only to realize we don't speak the same language but I can see their soul, their hard work, compassion and giving spirits. And although my camera is a divider, I know they see me as well.
Please enjoy Bangkok through my eyes. :) Cheers!
